The article titled “Research, Analysis, Communication: Meeting Standards with Technology” by Elva Marie Bowens is very interesting. This sound like technology lots of teachers and students could use right now. It will definitely make a lot of people lives much easier. It is great to have a database that can be edited to your needs. On most databases today, you can only download data. It usually can not be edited to your liking. The RAC Model and RAC Lesson is definitely something I would like to try.

Unfortunately, it will be expensive to equip everyone with a computer to be able to access all this wonderful knowledge on the database. Students with computers will not have a problem, but what about those without a computer. Students hardly want to use the computer labs at school now as it is. If they are given work that requires them to use the lab often, teachers might get some grief.

If it is deemed necessary for funding from the government to help equip schools with computers or computer technology, stand in line. People are still waiting for their schools to be equipped now. As with all new technology it is great, but only a few will be able to access it. Unfortunately, a lot of people will be left out in the cold. Hopefully, it will not be me. I love new gadgets!


Question #1: Do you think this will be widely available in schools soon?

Answer #1: No, because it is currently expensive to get the computers. Lots of people still do not have a computer, and is unable to access the current technology available.



Question #2: Do you see this as the technology of the future?

Answer #2: Yes, I do see it as the technology of the future, but I see it a long way off before it becomes the standard. The United States government seems to be very slow when it comes to bringing modern technology to education. Other countries are way ahead of us.
